Times of Worship
Sunday Morning: 10.30am
Second Sunday Evening of the month (various locations): 6.30pm
Worship &
Preaching
Our corporate worship normally follows the pattern: Adoration
of God; Ministry of the Word; Response to the Word. Within
this pattern we sing hymns, pray, listen to God's Word in
Scripture read and preached, and respond to that Word.
The first part of the service aims to be
accessible to children in its language and format. The second
part of the service is directed principally to adults.
Junior Church
The children stay with their parents or carers during the
first part of the service. They are then invited to join the
Minister for an interactive exploration of the bible text,
before going downstairs to Junior Church where the activities,
stories and worship are tailored to their particular abilities.
We employ a part-time Junior Church leader, Katalin Horva'th,
and she is assisted by parent volunteer leaders. We have a
creche for babies and toddlers.
Holy Communion is observed on the first Sunday
of each month. On Communion Sundays the younger children begin
downstairs in Junior Church with their own worship and activities.
Later they are brought in to join the older children and adults
for the sacrament of Holy Communion.
2nd Sunday Evening of month
we alternate with our neighbours, St. Michael’s, All
Saints', St Augustine's and St Joseph's Churches in hosting
worship, often using the chants, liturgy and silence of the
Taizé community.
Once every 2 months (or
more frequently during Advent-Christmas and Lent-Easter) we
have all-age worship in which children and adults worship
and explore the bible together interactively.
Requests for baptism and marriage
should be directed to the Ministers (click on the bar on the
left). Both infants and believers can be baptised after preparation.
There is a worship-attendance and preparation requirement
for couples intending to be married. |
