Letting of Chapel and Hall

All lettings are handled by our Administrator, John Wheeler, who is available at the chapel:

Chapel
The acoustics make it a popular venue for concerts and plays, while the quality of light means it is in demand by artists and embroiderers. There is a grand piano available for use. All the furniture is moveable, including the pulpit, and is capable of seating over 200 yet is equally suitable for more intimate events.
Although the chapel is higher than street level and accessed by some steps, it is accessible to wheelchair users via a ramp and lift. There is also a loop system installed to assist the hard of hearing. The Chapel measures 12m (40ft) wide x 15.8m (52ft) long. Off the Chapel is the Lounge, measuring 7m (23ft) wide x 5m (16.4ft) long. Next to the Lounge is a small kitchen with servery hatch and a disabled-equipped toilet.

Hall
The hall is in the basement and can be hired for childrens and adults parties, but no amplified music is permitted in order to respect our nearby neighbours. Our Administrator, John Wheeler can explain this in detail. The hall has a wooden floor and mirrors along a short wall. Off the Hall is a fully equipped kitchen. There is some crockery and cutlery available, but all glassware must be supplied by the hirer. The hall is in the basement accessed by a small flight of steps, making it unsuitable for wheelchair users.
We are proud to be custodians of such a beautiful building, and have spent a great deal of time, effort and money ensuring that it is available to the wider community. We hope that all hirers respect this and treat the premises with all due care. The Hall measures 17.53m (58ft) long x 8.22m (26.10ft) wide.
